Iron Craft #10: "B" is For... Blossom!

This week's challenge:

"For this challenge we are going to continue with the alphabet game. This time we want you to create a project based on the letter B…" (Courtesy of Just Crafty Enough)

This one was easy to find inspiration in - only because Buttercup and Bubbles of the Powerpuff girls were already made.

Blossom was next!

Blossom actually was the most difficult to make. The only pattern I could find for the Powerpuff girls was the one for Buttercup. I modified it for both Bubbles and Blossom.

Basically I changed the colours and made the body exactly the same. The hair was tricky. I made a little hair helmet and shaped the bangs the way they are in the cartoon. Then I strung a pile of orange yarn back to resemble Blossom's long hair. Then I made a big bow for the top of her head and her barrette for the back.

The barrette is black with a red heart in the cartoon, but Lane insisted that the barrette be pink. She's the boss, so I went with pink.

Sugar, spice, and everything nice
These were the ingredients chosen
To create the perfect little girls
But Professor Utonium accidentally
Added an extra ingredients to the concoction--
Chemical X
Thus, The Powerpuff Girls were born
Using their ultra-super powers
Blossom, Bubbles, and Buttercup
Have dedicated their lives to fighting crime
And the forces of evil

Blossom, commander and the leader
Bubbles, she is the joy and the laughter
Buttercup, she's the toughest fighter
Powerpuffs save the day...
Fighting crime, trying to save the world
Here they come just in time, the Powerpuff Girls
Fighting crime, trying to save the world
Here they come just in time, the Powerpuff Girls
