Raspberry Tart was my favourite!
My best friend's mom handmade a Raspberry Tart cloth doll for me. It had about a bajillion handsewn yarn curls on its head. I loved her so.
I contacted miss Java Diva and her response was the cutiest wootiest:
As soon as you said "vintage" I remembered VERY well & about teared up. I am beyond excited to have won your giveaway, it was one I wanted the most, Tawny!! I think you're the only one who offered vintage.
Thank you thank you thank you!! And no rush on sending it out as everyone is so busy this time of year. :)"
A fellow vintage lover! Squee! Not that all the designer quilting fabric that was up for grabs for most of these giveaways wasn't nice, but I have a special place in my heart for vintage.
(If you ask Terry he says my love for vintage just means I'm cheap and stuck in the past.... hehehe... but then I brought home Mario and Zelda fabric and he might have changed his tune a little bit.)
And guess what? The winner I chose is a sewing ninja! OH. MY. GOSH. When I read "Kimberlee the sewing ninja" on the signature line of her email I just knew that I would be internets BFFs with her! :D
Note to self: Make a New Year's Resolution to become a sewing ninja. Must start training ASAP.
I'll be packaging up all of the vintage goodness I can cram into a box and sending it to the sewing ninja on Monday. I can't wait to see what awesome stuff she sews with it!
