Yay! I've been waiting all year for this challenge to come around again:
"It’s time for the one challenge theme we have every year, Peeps! Yes, we want you to use that iconic Easter candy for your inspiration this challenge. You can either make something with actual Peeps such as a diorama or you can make something inspired by Peeps (sorry, folks out of the US and Canada, you can only do the inspired by since Peeps aren’t for sale anyplace else)." I knew that it was going to be tricky to top (or even come close to) Peeptallica from last year. That was inspired.
After searching high and low for Peeps - remember that corn syrup is banned in Canada, so Peeps are contraband around here it seems.
I finally found the yellow chick Peeps, which actually worked alright for the project I had in mind this year:
Can you guess who these two are?
I'll give you a huge hint.
That's right! Introducing Two Broke Peeps.
I love the show Two Broke Peeps (based on the show Two Broke Girls).
There's Max Peep who has a loud mouth and bakes yummy cupcakes. Oh and has huge ... er.... melons. Yes, I stuffed a Peep's bra. I feel a little dirty about it. :P
Hehehe... I had great fun putting these Peeps together. I searched the entire house for my daughter's little cupcakes (that came with her My Little Pony) but couldn't find them anywhere to get a photo shoot with the Peeps :(
Oh well! I nailed the diner uniforms anyway!
And of course the little girl wanted to play Peeps crafting as well, so she made two princess Peeps and insisted on modelling with them. She ate the rest of the Peeps I gave her of course. Yummy!
