Gung Hay Fat Choy!
Happy Chinese New Year!
It's the beginning of the year of the Dragon!
And I just happen to be a Dragon!
It must be my year eh?
So here's to peace, love, passion and energy for the Year of The Dragon.
To celebrate I made Chinese Firecrackers again. They were such a hit with the kids last year that I couldn't resist doing it again. I got the idea from my bloggy friend Steph last year. Actually that is how I met her. I tried out her firecrackers tutorial and she was very kind about me mixing up all her instructions and giving them the LT Experience touch. We've been bestie bloggy buddies ever since.
So this year I decided to further mess up Steph's terrific instructions by taking a printable from one of her recent tutorials and adding it to the firecrackers.
Now the firecrackers say Gung Hay Fat Choy and have a cute dragon on them. I filled them with as much candy as I could stuff in there, so the kids will be extra pleased when they pop them open after dinner tonight.
After a phone call to my dad last night to get instructions, I am going to attempt to make a batch of Cantonese style Chow Mein for dinner tonight as well!
