My Kindergartner

Today was Logan's first day of Kindergarten.  Look at my sweet little boy!  He's ready to go!

While I was taking pictures, he said, "Take one from the back too mommy."  Hmmm this kid has been hanging out with me too long. I'm always making him model all my sewing.  Isn't he precious?

He had a terrific day.  The most important and exciting thing that happened during his first day - "Mom, I got to go to the bathroom by myself and pee in a urinal."

Yup, that's my boy! :D

Lane didn't take this new routine very well. I was so worried that Logan would have terrible anxiety that I didn't even think about Lane.

Logan had no problems.  He went into the kindergarten room and put on his indoor shoes and found the apple tag with his name on it and put it in the basket.  He didn't need mommy at all.  I waved goodbye and he was fine.

Poor Lane cried all the way home and was waiting all morning to pick her brother up from school.  She was so sad and lonely without her big brother.  I spent a lot of one on one time with Lane this morning, but it was a sad substitute for the attention from Logan.

And of course it rained on the way home and soaked us all.  I'm sure that Mother Nature was just letting me know how it is.  I had such a tough time last year getting to the school in the snow and freeze.  Here's to another year.  Hopefully I'm stronger.

Bring it on!

Well, that's one milestone I'll never hear at home from my girls! I hope you and Lane cope as well with this change as the little man is! Way to go Logan!

Woohoo congrats to Logan (and you) for a great first day! Poor Lane! I hope she starts to get used to it...I bet she was so happy when she saw him again!

Mother Nature's got nothin' on you, Mama.

too sweet! you should film her missing him, because the day may come when they aren't quite so fond of each other....
