2 Year Housiversary and Free Slurpee Day

Yesterday, being the 7th month 11th day, was 7-Eleven's Free Slurpee Day!

Yay!

Of course, the Slurpees they give out this day are not big enough for us. But they were fun for the kids! Lane actually enjoyed her very own Slurpee. Awwww baby's first Slurpee. She pretty much had Slurpee syrup all over her shirt, legs, and the wagon where she was riding to the Sev for this blissful drink.

The kids don't look that happy about getting free Slurpees? It's because at this particular moment we are waiting for a train to pass by so that we could be on our way home.

And speaking of home...

Yesterday was also our 2 Year Housiversary. Yup, we've been living in our sweet little house for 2 years. That means it's almost Lane's 2nd birthday. Moving on free Slurpee day has it's benefits. I never forget our housiversary. And we had cool treats while moving all our crap... well actually Terry and friends moved all the heavy crap because I was 9 months pregnant at the time.

Time flies.

For a celebratory dessert (I mean besides the Slurpees), I made these super cute mini cherry pies. Delish!

Find the recipe here if you'd like to give them a try.
