Crafty Monday: Angry Birds

Have I told you that Logan now worships his uncle Davan? He thinks Davan is the coolest - mostly because uncle Davan rocks at Angry Birds and has several different versions of the game on his phone and will let Logan play this silly game for hours.

So, as an attempt to wean Logan off of daddy's phone and Angry Birds, we spent some time crafting them instead of playing them.

I took a look at Amanda's version of the cardboard tube Angry Birds and simplified to make the craft something a 4 year old would be interested in helping with.

Logan painted three of the birds himself (I got stuck with the piggy hehehe). We didn't have any white paint, so unfortunately, no white bird.

I drew and cut out all the little construction paper pieces and Logan very carefully glued them in place with his glue stick. He's so patient with all those tiny pieces. I then used a black marker for the final details.

Logan took all the pictures in this post as well. He's getting really good with my camera.

Here are the birds in a line - waiting to get launched at the piggy.

We put the piggy in a cage that the birds will have to bust through.

Oh those Angry Birds. The red one is the most awesome.

We decided that the birds needed to be displayed on the decorative shelf in Logan's room. The piggy is on the top shelf because, "he's not a bird mommy."
