For crafty Monday today I decided to play around with my hair. I used the instructions found here for maiden braids styling. Mine isn't as good as the style pictured there, but I didn't have anyone to help me style mine and had two kids running around at my feet while I did it. And it held up for a couple of hours before I had a chance to take photos. Not bad! :D
Putting the remaining hair at the back up into a messy bun was the recommendation. But I can't get my hair to stay pinned in a messy bun. It's way too heavy. And leaving it down - the other option - won't work when running after a bunch of jam eaters all day. I'd end up sweating and getting my hair pulled and caught in various tiny fingers all day. So I just clipped it in a strong butterfly clip to keep it up and out of the way for baking!
Kinda covers up the grays that are poking out of my part too. Bonus!
I have no idea why my hair looks so greasy ... ahem... shiny ... in these pics. Probably because I was slaving in a hot kitchen making cinnamon buns this morning!
Don't these look nummy? Go on over to Elliven Studio's Blog and nab the recipe. :) They aren't really very hard to make, but you don't have to tell anyone that. I slaved and slaved... I mean really... look at this greasy hair hahaha.
