I know - it took forever.
But it's epic and it has skulls on it, so - WIN!

Here is Terry being epic in his new robe.

And here he is doing his best, "I'm an old man pervert in my bathrobe stance." HAHAHA! All Terry said while I was typing this post was, "So you're putting that one up are ya?" Me: "Yes - you don't want me to?" Terry: "I don't care."
He'll care now! hahaha... or not... he really is embarrassed by nothing. Knowing him, he'll post this as his new Facebook profile pic.

I used Simplicity pattern 5931 for this robe. I'll be making one for myself to wear at the hospital as well. I actually followed a pattern? What? Too lazy to figure out the design for this one - so pattern it was.
It took so long to make because I was hit with a series of obstacles while making it. First, I had the pattern, but not with me when purchasing the fleece. The lady at the store said that 3.5 metres should be plenty for a robe. She, however, has not seen the size of my awesome, sexy hunk of a husband. So when I got home, I didn't have enough to cut out the sleeves. The pattern calls for 3.9 - gah! So I went back and got some black to do the sleeves and pockets. I think it looks nice. Anyway, I got home and continued with my cutting. Then I realized that my supply of interfacing wasn't enough to cut 2 ginormous facings! Back to the store I went.
After I got it cut out though, it sewed up easy. :)

Close up of the cool fabric. I bet no one will look more badass when he is awoken at 6 a.m. by two rambunctious kids than my husband.
P.S: this robe was supposed to be Terry's birthday present, so happy birthday baby! Love you!
