I've really wanted to make a feather hair clip for awhile now. I have the long hair to show it off and I think they look beautiful. So I finally decided that today was the day!
I gathered up some feathers, some leather cord that I'd been saving that had wooden beads woven onto it and a little hair clip.
I cut the cording to 4 lengths of varying sizes and used a hot glue gun to glue them onto the little clip.
Then I glued my favourite feathers onto the cording in varying spots to make a pretty clip. Easy! And I was able to do it with the kids at my feet.
Turned out really nice.
Pretty! I gotta admit - if you asked what part of my body I liked the best, I would say my hair. It is the only Chinese feature I have (and it's the wrong colour!) It's so thick and easy to style. Love it!
And while I was doing this little bit of crafting, I gave Logan some glue, cardboard strips, some shiny decorations and some sticky-backed foam shapes along with a few of the feathers I had left. This is what he came up with:
The best bookmarks ever!
He made one for me and one for daddy and he says he wants to take the other two to school to give to his friends. When I asked him which friends he would pick he couldn't decide, so he's now changed that to giving one to each of his teachers. Awww.
I'm so proud of my creative boy. I barely helped him at all with this craft. I just let his own unique creativity come out and he made something beautiful. I was only there for the scissors part of course!
