Every Little Girl Needs a Tutu

It's a strange feeling to have no deadline sewing to work on. I finished all the seasonal craft shows. I stocked the shop before Christmas. I sewed all our Christmas gifts. Now it's just fun stuff or stuff that we need.

So I decided that the first day of the year would be spent making something fun! A tutu for Lane!

There are so many tutu tutorials online. Hehehe - I like saying "tutu tutorials".

Anyway, I used this one from Samster Mommy.


As you can see, it's a stuffed tutu. I used some fabric flowers, some foamy heart cutouts in silver and shiny white, some pom pom puffs, and a pile of sparkly beads. Lane likes to go treasure hunting while she sits down in it. I sewed all the treasure tightly into the middle, so there's no hope of fishing them out, but she still tries.


Adora-precious! Lane brings her tutu to me whenever she finds it laying around. I tie it on and she will twirl and say, "pretty dress." Awwww....


She loves wearing this little bit of pretty. Even Logan came up to her and said, "Laney you are beautiful." Double awwww....
