Handmade Holidays: Scottie Dog

Puppy! Puppy! That is all I hear from my little baby girl all day. She's obsessed with puppies.

There are a few other people on my Christmas list who have the same obsession. So I decided to make a couple of Scottie Dogs for them.

There is an awesome free pattern available here if you'd like to make your own. Aren't they cute? I love the patchwork. And I love that I can use up some of my favourite pieces of fabric scraps.

It was fun laying out all the pieces and finding the perfect pattern. I actually cut out enough squares for one more Scottie Dog, but I'm saving that one for later. I need to get the presents that I send out to various destinations done first. The in-town people stuff I can sew next week.

I even made little Scottie a sparkly collar. I love how it turned out. Logan says that collar is the best part. :)

This pattern and tutorial is very popular in the sewing mommies sphere. Kristie (a fellow Winnipeg crafter) has an awesome version on her blog: OCD: Obssesive Crafting Disorder. So cute!
