Mission comforter #1 is hot off the Tawny Bee sewing machine.
Isn't it beautiful?
This one has a winter theme to it. A forest of trees in blue and green and some snowflakes with "peace" and "joy" - it's so tranquil.
If you are new to this blog, you can go here to read more about our Pay It Forward project to donate at least 10 handmade comforters to Siloam Mission in Winnipeg, Manitoba on October 1st. There are several ways for you to help out if you so choose.
In fact, I thought of another way that I can get my wonderful readers to help.
If you're interested in this project and have a blog or Facebook account, or just lots of friends and you like talking, please use your power to promote This Pay It Forward project. It would be much appreciated. The more support I get, the more comforters will be donated. Of course, like I mentioned before, Team LT is committed to delivering at least 10 comforters to the Mission on October 1st regardless of any outside help. But it would be nice to deliver as many as I can sew in a month - and I can sew A LOT!
Remember that if you take a fancy to one of the comforters I show you (or have another theme or colour in mind), you can purchase it for $60. For every purchase I will add another comforter onto the donation pile. Yay! They are twin sized and made out of cozy 100% cotton flannel. These comforters are perfect (and pretty) to throw on the couch in the living room for those chilly nights. And you'll be helping someone who really needs to keep warm with winter coming.
OK that's enough saleswoman pitches - I'm not cut out for the big sell anyway.
Now back to work with me! These comforters won't sew themselves you know hehehe
