Sun Hats, Monsters and a Day At The Park

I had a lovely Mother's Day this year. We went to St. Vital park to hang out and check out the little duck families. Logan played at the park, it rained, Laney played in the leaves. It was a wonderful day. Oh yeah... and I got a little sewing done this weekend as well.

Here's Laney playing in the leaves. She's wearing one of the new Emergency Hats that I made this weekend. She's looking a little disappointed in this picture because we wouldn't actually let her eat any of the leaves she picked up. How cruel!

Logan playing at some sort of horse and carriage inspired play structure. He had a wonderful time and didn't ever want to leave of course.

I made a pretty purple paisley hat and a monster from the book (Invasion of the Plush Monster!: Wickedly Weird Creatures You Just Gotta Sew by Veronika Gunter) that Josh and Mel gave me for Christmas. The book insists his name is Finko, but I'm not so sure.

There's a picture of the pink owls hat that Laney was wearing in the photo above and another monster. The book says his name is Lyle... but he looks more like a Jim to me.
