I participated in the Sew Mama Sew fat quarter swap this past month and received these little goodies on Friday.
The package arrived from Val (who is a very talented sewist!) Check out her blog here. Aren't these selections perfect for summer sewing? And green! If any of you have seen my fabric collection, you know that I love to sew green!
I combined my love for millinery with my love for cute summer fabric.
I cut out all the pieces.
I sewed the brim. I was starting to get a little dizzy by the time I reached the inner circles. Can you see where I goofed a little? I got covered when I added the band anyway.
I added the hat band and the elastic at the back. This is a picture of the underside. Woo! Pretty!
And the top - yeah... so the goof didn't get covered as I had hoped. But it has character!
Now if only the sun would shine so that I could try it out.
