Project Upcycle Day 7 - Tie Dyed Skivvies

Yesterday I asked you an easy one: what would I make out of this extra large t-shirt and some elastic? I hinted that your mother probably made you wear a clean pair everyday in case you got into an accident and ended up in the hospital.

1) First thing I did, but it's not pictured here is I tie dyed this t-shirt. I was practicing with tie dying last summer and made this one in a bunch of t-shirt I was making. I sent a few to my sister. I wear one and Logan wears one. This one was intended for Terry, but ended up too light blue for his tastes. Oh well...

Let's turn it into some pretty shall we? 2) cut out the pattern.

3) sew the side seams, hem the bottom, add elastic to top. And if you want to, put a pretty bow in the centre. Done! Easy Peasy!

4) make another pair!

*** A set of two pairs of these tie dyed skivvies will be listed at Tawny Bee for $12. Half the proceeds ($6) from the sale will be donated to the Heart and Stroke Foundation as part of my Upcycle for Heart and Stroke 2010 campaign***

Stay tuned tomorrow to find out what I'll be making out of some odds and ends I've found around the house. A doorknob the previous owner had left for us, some old baby bottles, a broken hair cone, a blue metal box.... Hint: Number 5 is alive!
