Project Upcycle Day 19 - Relax! Your Toddler's Got the Juice (BYOJ Sling)

Yesterday I asked what I would make out of this flannel shirt and 2 reclaimed snaps. The hint was: Handsfree Toddlers!

Let's get started!

1) Cut out the pieces. 4 rectangles (6 by 9 inches) and A strap (whatever length you choose by 4 or 5 inches)

2) I used 2 of the rectangle pieces as my "interfacing" since I am upcycling and didn't want to use new product if I could help it. Cut the corners out of the pieces and make a "box". Hem the top.

3) Make the strap and add the snaps.

Now you have a Bring Your Own Juice Sling. Your toddler can carry his juice anywhere. And you don't have to fear that he/she will get caught on anything because the snaps will come undone if pulled on too hard. So do as the fabric tells you and relax :)

*** This Relax ... Bring Your Own Juice Sling will be on sale at Tawny Bee for $12. Half the proceeds ($6) from the sale will be donated to the Heart and Stroke Foundation as part of my Upcycle for Heart and Stroke 2010 campaign. ****

Stay tuned tomorrow when I will be making something out of this pink maternity top and the leftovers from the jogging pants I used to make the Heart Healthy Sports Bra. I might need a little elastic as well. I haven't fully decided as of the posting of this blog. Hint: Remember those annoying Old Navy commercials from around Christmas Time last year?
