Project Upcycle Day 12 - Zebra Neck Scarf

Yesterday I asked you what I would make out of this well loved pajama tank top? I gave you the hint: You've heard of a turtle neck, but a zebra neck? So, it's neckwear then!

1) Cut the bottom into long strips

2) Sew the strips together and make ruffly!

3) Take the pink edges from the tank top and turn them into a pretty flower

4) Sew it onto the end of your scarf and voila, a pretty Zebra neck scarf.

***This Zebra neck scarf will be listed at Tawny Bee for $12. Half the proceeds ($6) from the sale will be donated to the Heart and Stroke Foundation as part of my Upcycle For Heart and Stroke 2010 campaign *****

Stay tuned tomorrow where I'll be turning these maternity pants and this floral skirt into something more practical. You see, I'm no longer pregnant, so I don't need the pants, and I'm no longer stick thin because I've had 2 kids. I need to find a happy medium for these 2 items. Hint: It will contain ruffles. And I hate sewing ruffles, so there might be a few bouts of uncontrollable sobbing as well. Time will tell!
