No More Monkeys Jumpng on the Bed

A few weeks ago I was browsing around Etsy hoping to find some good ideas to decorate Logan's room. My first idea was to make his room into some sort of aquarium, since it was already blue and green and looked like a fishbowl. Then I thought I would make it into something Sponge Bob related. Every kid loves Sponge Bob. But what if Logan grew out of that too fast?

Terry had been playing the "No More Monkeys Jumping on the Bed" video from Youtube for Logan a lot. It was one of their favourites. So when I saw some wall vinyl with that theme I just had to order them. I found them at Xpressions That Stick on Etsy. What a fabulous store! It has all sorts of things for children's decor. They even let me choose the colour I wanted and the green matched perfectly with the paint on the ceiling and trim.

I showed Logan what I ordered and then we waited. Every day, Logan would excitedly check the mail for his monkeys and say, "maybe monkeys come today?"

Finally they arrived and we spent the morning putting them up on his wall.

Even if he grows out of them, at least they are wall vinyl. So I can easily take them off, instead of permanent paint that I would have to decorate over top of.

The only problem we are experiencing now is that Logan really thinks those monkeys are going to jump on his bed at night when he's sleeping. He watches them very carefully and has been having trouble sleeping. We're hoping that he will get used to them soon. He seems to really like them during the day. Terry even kissed them to show Logan that they were nice friendly monkeys, but it doesn't seem to work. We'll figure something out, or he'll get used to them. I would hate to have to take them down because they are adorable and he loves to show everyone his monkey room.

Spot The Differences

Can you tell which one is Logan and which one is Lane?

A lot of people have said to me that babies all look the same. And for Team T, that remark is very true! I've been super careful to upload every photo to my computer with the date stamped correctly on it. If I didn't, I would have a difficult time telling which baby is which!

Lane, of course is the one on the left in the pink blanket at the beach. Logan is on the right with the blue blanket. But since Lane wears most of Logan's old clothes, not even the telltale pink will help us tell these two apart in most photos. At least we're in a different house now, so that helps. Only the closeups give us trouble.

Too bad you can't capture personality in a baby photo or we'd be set. Those two have very different personalities!

Unveiling! The L-T Experience

This is the official unveiling of the new blog.

The L-T Experience

There were so many good entries. Check them all out here. We had a difficult time deciding. At first we thought about LoLa stuff. Then we tried to come up with something that fit all our interests. Terry really liked Melanie's Tech, Sew and Chil' suggestion. Then we were thinking that we should just go with something that had our last name in it. But then the blog would contain our full names and we didn't think that was a very good idea.

So many things to think about....

A few weeks ago, Terry had thrown out The L-T Experience as a joke. But it seems to have stuck. Especially because Logan giggles every time we say it and then repeats by exclaiming "The L-T O-Peak-O-Wince" hehehe. So cute.

So.... "Stranger" came up with the winning entry. It was The T.L.² Experience. I know we switched it around some. But it was perfect! Thank you! I will alert you on Facebook later today (and wish you a happy birthday as well). Many a great prize will be headed your way shortly. :D
