R.I.P. Jaders

I found out earlier this week that our family dog Jade has passed away :(

When I moved to Manitoba 10 years ago, Jade was still a rambunctious puppy. Actually I kinda think she always thought that she was a rambunctious puppy even when she got old. I missed her a lot when I moved. That was surprising, because when we first got her, I wasn't sure we should even have a puppy. They were messy and hard to train. But Jade changed my mind pretty darn fast. She was so lovable and loyal and protective.

We had some great adventures together. Like her trying to jump out of the car on the way to the K9 Klippery for a haircut, or the time we "tried" to go roller blading and she dragged me half down the block before I could get her to stop hehehe. She even went crazy with barking one night when I was visiting (something she wasn't that prone to) and dad came down to check out what all the fuss was about. Jade was barking at some guys trying to break into his car. Nice job Jade! Good guard dog. Although, truthfully, her bark was waaaaay worse than her bite.

My sister did a good job taking care of ole Jaders when I moved and when dad moved to Victoria. Or maybe Jade did a good job of taking care of her? I think that dog always thought that she was in charge of everything.

R.I.P. sweet puppy. We'll all miss you, but I'm sure you're causing all sorts of mischief wherever you are!
